  I'm the youngest daughter of the founding pastors of this building. It was originally named The House Of Refuge COGIC under the leadership of Elder W.H. McIntosh, Sr.(1960-1965). A few years later, my mother, Elder Mildred E. McIntosh took the mantle and carried this ministry on until her home-going in July 1991. We experienced a fire in 1981 that caused a challenging assignment to her. God told her to rebuild his church from the ground and restore to him a place of worship for his people. I'm glad she obeyed because these people who have the edifice now would not be able to worship there now. So, "Second Fontana Church" I hope you're enjoying the fruit of my mother and father's labor. It is because of them that is the reason you're there.
